Londonderry Arms Hotel | The Londonderry Arms Hotel is a fine 3 star hotel located in a Georgian building which retains much of its original charm and character. Original works of art and open log fires combine to create an atmosphere of warmth; comfort and relaxation. Sir Winston Churchill once owned the house and guests in room 114 can follow in his footsteps. A drive along the Causeway Coast is a must for all visitors to this area. Here you will find the world-famous Giant's Causeway; Ireland's only World Heritage Site which has a magic beauty all its own. An excellent visitors centre provides a history of the area. Dunluce Castle; perched on a steep crag dates back to the 13th century and provides the perfect spot to stop and admire the views. Further along the coast is White Park Bay with its beautiful sandy beach. For the brave at heart; there is a walk across the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. The Old Bushmills Distillery is close to the Giant's Causeway and visitors can enjoy a fascinating tour which ends with a sampling session. Nearer to Carnlough; is Ossian's Grave; a neolithic court tomb which provides views over the mountains. The hotel's award-winning cuisine is designed around the wonderful local produce which thrives in the unpolluted waters. Seafood specialities include locally caught wild salmon; trout; scallops; crabs and lobster. The Londonderry Arms Hotel is situated in the beautiful Glens of Antrim on the rugged Antrim coast. The small village of Carnlough is at the foot of Glencoy; one of the nine glens. There are excellent leisure facilities available locally. Special golf rates are available at Cairndiun and Cushendall courses. The Glenarm river is excellent for salmon and white trout fishing and the surrounding area is perfect for unspoilt cycling and walking excursions.
